Last week, a report was released showing that New Mexico now has the highest abortion rate in the nation.

For many, it was just another headline.

For us, it is a reminder that the mission before us has never been more urgent.

If you haven't had a chance to read the article, I encourage you to take a few moments to do so.

When we first learned that an abortion facility would be built in Las Cruces, many people asked, "What can we do?"

Our answer has never changed.

We pray.

Over the past several months, thousands of prayers have been lifted for the abortion facility under construction in Las Cruces. Some of you have faithfully prayed from home, while others have stood beside the construction site in the New Mexico heat, asking God to change hearts and save lives. Just last week, our Southwest Coalition team gathered in Las Cruces to pray together at the site (video below), reminding us that this mission is sustained by the faithful prayers of our supporters and the generosity of our donors. We are deeply grateful for each of you.

And God has been moving.

We've seen workers walk away from the project.

We've heard neighbors express concern over what is being built in their community.

We've watched hundreds of faithful men and women gather together, believing that no heart is beyond God's reach.

It is never too late to pray. It is never too late for hope. And it is never too late for God to move mountains.

That is why I am personally inviting you to join us for what we hope will be our largest gathering of prayer warriors yet.

Join us for a Prayer Rally on July 25th at 8:30 AM at 4425 E. Lohman Ave.

Community Prayer Rally for Life

Saturday, July 25, 2026
8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Please park at:
4391 E. Lohman Ave.
Las Cruces, NM

From there, we'll walk together to 4425 E. Lohman, where volunteers will provide prayer signs and rally materials before we begin. Bring your foldable chairs, your umbrellas and hats and your prayerful hearts.

Let me be very clear.

This is not a protest.

It is not about politics. It is not about confrontation.

It is a peaceful Community Prayer Rally.

We will gather with peaceful hearts to pray for mothers, fathers, babies, abortion workers, construction workers, medical professionals, our elected leaders, and for the conversion of hearts.

Whether you've prayed with us once or one hundred times, your presence matters.

I also want to extend a special invitation to our friends in El Paso and throughout Texas.

Although this facility is being built across the state line, its impact will not stop at the New Mexico border. Every day, women from Texas travel to New Mexico seeking abortions. Life does not recognize state lines, and neither should our compassion or our prayers.

Life sees no state line.

Together, we are stronger.

Together, we are one community united in defending the dignity of every human life.

If you've ever thought, "I wish there was something I could do," this is your opportunity.

Come pray.

Stand with your community. Stand with mothers. Stand with families. Stand for life.

As Scripture reminds us,

"If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray... then I will hear from heaven."
2 Chronicles 7:14

Before I close, I simply want to say thank you.

To every donor who has sacrificially supported this mission... To every prayer warrior who has stood with us in the heat... To every volunteer... To every church... To every family...

To every person who has spoken about Southwest Coalition during these challenging months...

Thank you.

Your prayers have helped sustained this ministry.

You are part of every life touched.

You are part of every heart that God is changing.

Now, I'm asking you to join us once again.

Let's fill Lohman Avenue with prayer.

Let's show our community that hope is stronger than despair.

Let's ask God to do what only He can do.

And let's continue believing that God is still changing hearts.

I hope to pray beside you on Saturday, July 25, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Standing with you for life,

With gratitude,

Jessica Sifuentes
