{{first_name|Friend}},
Thank you to everyone who joined us on the webcast. I want to apologize because this email was supposed to go out yesterday, but in all the excitement, I set the wrong publish date.
The reason I am so excited is because, as many of you witnessed last night, an incredibly zealous and courageous team has come together not only to stop this center from being built, but to help transform New Mexico from the abortion destination of the Southwest into a beacon of authentic life-affirming care, prayer, healing, and hope for women and families.
What we uncovered together was shocking, but it was also deeply motivating. For the first time publicly, we exposed the confirmed companies involved in this project and revealed that the permits describe the facility only as an “ambulatory outpatient center,” concealing from the public that taxpayer dollars are being used to build a late-term abortion and transgender facility.
Most importantly, we left with hope, unity, and a clear path forward. Prayer must remain our first and most powerful weapon, and right now we urgently need more faithful people willing to stand in prayer at the construction site and intercede for the hearts, lives, and future of our community.

🏗️ The Confirmed Companies
These eight companies are now publicly confirmed as the contractors and suppliers building the facility:
Paragon Construction, Albuquerque — Project manager and concrete supplier
E2RC, Bernalillo — Environmental contractor
Carver Electric, Mesilla Park — Electrical contractor
BH Mechanical, Las Cruces — Plumbing
C&C Demolition Services, Albuquerque — Demolition
Valley Fence, Albuquerque — Site fencing
Red Dog Roll Off Dumpster, Las Cruces — Waste removal
Busy Bee Septic, Deming — Portable sanitation (replacement)
Two important notes: The site plans describe this facility only as a "new outpatient medical center" — meaning many of these subcontractors may not even know what they are actually building. And the very first company contacted on this list (the original porta-potty company) has already walked away from the project as a result of your outreach. It is working.

🎤 The Most Compelling Takeaways from Last Night
The abortion crisis in New Mexico is getting worse — but the trend is turning. New Mexico now has 31 abortion providers statewide, with Planned Parenthood reopening in Santa Fe and adding a second Albuquerque location. At the same time, OB-GYNs are leaving maternal care for abortion work, hospitals are closing labor and delivery units, and the state is prioritizing out-of-state women over the women who actually live here. However, total abortions in New Mexico are down by 5,000 from their peak — a sign that the work being done by people like you is making a measurable difference.
This Las Cruces facility is not just another abortion clinic. It is the first of its kind in the country — fully taxpayer-funded, designed to perform late-term abortions, train the next generation of abortionists through UNM's Ryan Residency program, and provide gender-transition procedures on children. UNM's own internal documents identify Catholic and Mexican culture as "barriers to access" — and reveal plans to replicate this model in Santa Fe County, McKinley County, and ultimately across the country.
What happens in New Mexico does not stay in New Mexico. Texas women are driving across state lines daily to access this facility. If it opens, it doesn't just harm New Mexico families — it harms Texas, Oklahoma, and every Southwest state.
Phase 2 works — even after the concrete is poured. Chris Danze, the veteran of the 2003 Austin Planned Parenthood boycott, walked us through how his coalition continued to cause major delays even after construction had already begun, and how those tactics apply to what's happening right now in New Mexico. The general contractor cannot build this facility without subcontractors and suppliers. When the "A team" walks, the "B team" demands triple pay and works half the speed. Delays cost money, time, and momentum — and in Austin, they cost so much that Planned Parenthood's national president had to beg donors across the country just to finish the project.
There is an important reason to delay them. New Mexico State Senator David Gallegos confirmed that all three current candidates for governor have agreed: if construction is delayed past November, the $10 million allocated from the governor’s fund will be redirected toward an authentic life-affirming women's health facility — exactly the kind of authentic maternal care that's missing in southern New Mexico. A few more months of delay could transform and redeem this entire project.
The Spiritual Defense Coalition is one of the most unified pro-life responses New Mexico has ever seen. Leaders have now signed a public unity agreement, are operating from a shared Prayer Warriors Playbook, and are meeting with all three New Mexico bishops in the coming weeks. National leaders from Illinois, Iowa, Virginia, and Texas confirmed they are watching this as a model for other states.
Prayer is the foundation of everything. Sidewalk advocates, prayer vigils, and faithful presence are saving lives every single day — including the story of one Houston mother who drove across Texas for an abortion in Albuquerque, walked in and out five times, and finally chose life because of one sentence from a sidewalk advocate. As Eric Scheidler reminded us from Chicago — looking back on 18 years of standing vigil outside the largest Planned Parenthood mega-center in the country — even if a facility opens, the community we build now will save lives for decades to come. You cannot lose if you have a faithful heart.
✅ Three Things To Do This Week
🙏 1. PRAY
This fight will not be won by strategy alone. Every contractor, every concrete truck, every legislator, and every family touched by this facility needs prayer. Please commit to praying daily — at home, in your church, and on the sidewalk in front of the construction site — for the hearts of all involved. If you’re in the area, sign up for the Las Cruces vigil.
✉️ 2. DOWNLOAD, SIGN & SEND THE LETTERS
Respectful but firm letters have been prepared for every confirmed company involved in this project. Download the updated letter pack, personalize and sign each one, and mail them this week. A flood of letters from families across the region carries more weight than you might imagine — and the Austin story proves it works. Download: Google Doc | Word | PDF
📢 3. SPREAD THE WORD
This story cannot stay quiet. Forward this email and the replay link to your family, your parish, your pastor, your small group, and your social networks. Share the letter packets everywhere you can. The wider this coalition grows, the harder this project becomes to complete — and the sooner it stops. Share the replay.
Las Cruces, the future of New Mexico is being shaped right now, and your voice, your presence, and your prayers matter. We cannot simply hope for change; we must rise together and help make it happen. Join us, take action, and let’s work together to change New Mexico for life.
Standing with you for life,

Jessica Sifuentes
President & CEO
Southwest Coalition
P.S. — Please forward this email to every pro-life person you know — especially anyone in New Mexico, El Paso, or anywhere these companies do business. One personal connection with these vendors, as Chris Danze reminded us, is worth a hundred letters. Watch and share: https://prolifenm.com/webcast/
