{{first_name|Friend}},

Many of you have reached out asking, what are we going to do next?

I am grateful for your passion, your concern, and your readiness to act. This is exactly the kind of community New Mexico needs right now.

First of all, I heard from some of you that the video I uploaded yesterday wasn’t working. My apologies. We fixed the link. Click here to see it.

Since this video, I have been in communication with a State senator, an attorney, local business leaders, and many of you. Based on our conversations, I am inviting you to join us this Friday at the Guiding Star Southwest office in Las Cruces for an emergency in-person meeting. We will share updated information, outline next steps, and discuss how we can respond in a unified and strategic way.

  • WHAT: Emergency “Next Steps” Meeting on UNM Abortion Center

  • WHERE: Guiding Star Southwest, 2908 Hillrise, Las Cruces, NM

  • WHEN: Friday, Feb 27, 2026 @ 6:00 p.m

We will continue to respond peacefully and prayerfully. There will be at least one opportunity we will share for volunteers to travel to Albuquerque very soon to stand alongside other pro-life organizations in a united prayer rally. This will be a way to show, visibly and respectfully, how serious the people of New Mexico are in their profound disapproval of the $10 million tax-funded abortion and transgender center.

We will continue to respond with order, courage, and purpose. Our unity will speak clearly.

If you have been wondering what you can do next, this meeting is your next step. Come with a prayerful heart.

We will move forward together.

Gratefully in Christ,

Jessica Sifuentes

Devotional for Day 7

Intention: For strength, courage, and steadfast faith as we unite in response to this moment.

Scripture: “Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, act like men, be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13

Reflection: There are moments when the Lord calls His people not just to pray quietly, but to gather, to stand, and to be counted. An emergency does not create fear in the faithful. It awakens clarity. When we come together in unity, we demonstrate that we are watchful and steadfast. Showing up is not symbolic. It is a declaration that we are present, engaged, and prepared to act in truth. God often moves powerfully when His people assemble with one heart and one purpose.

Prayer: Lord, strengthen us to stand firm in faith. Unite our hearts and steady our resolve. Let our gathering be guided by wisdom, courage, and peace. Lead us clearly in the path You desire.

Challenge: Attend Friday’s meeting and invite at least one other person who is ready to stand in faith with us. Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.

Each day, one Registered Prayer Volunteer from every vigil site will be selected to receive a small Southwest Coalition merchandise item that we already have on hand. It is a simple and joyful way for us to thank you for showing up and standing faithfully in prayer.
