{{first_name|Friend}},

I am writing to you with gratitude, that together we may stand firm in prayer for every life known and loved by the Lord.

There are moments in Scripture that remind us how personal God’s mercy truly is.

Saul was once feared and defined by destruction, yet on the road to Damascus, the Lord did not call him by his past. He called him by name:

“Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” (Acts 9:4)

And in that moment, everything changed. Saul became Paul, not because he earned it, but because grace transforms even what seems beyond hope.

That same Lord still calls today, the child hidden in the womb, the mother standing at a crossroads, and every soul longing for hope.

Saul truly believed he was doing right when he persecuted Christians. He was convinced his actions were justified. In the same way, many today, including Dr. Franz Theard, believe abortion is women’s healthcare and a necessary good. Yet sincerity does not equal truth, and even deeply held convictions can be transformed by grace.

And just as He called Saul, God is calling Dr. Franz Theard and all abortion workers to surrender their hearts to Him, to remove the scales from their eyes. No one is beyond His mercy.

Gratefully in Christ,

Devotional for Day 4

Intention: May people open their hearts to God’s call with faith and courage. We lift up mothers facing uncertainty, children hidden in the womb, and all souls invited into God’s mercy and hope.

Scripture: “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Reflection: Paul reminds us that prayer is more than words; it is trust in God’s presence, even in difficult moments. During these 40 Days for Life, prayer helps us carry hope for those who feel alone and strengthens us as we intercede for mothers, fathers, and unborn children. Every life is known and held in God’s love.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, teach us to pray without ceasing and to love with compassion. Give courage to mothers, strength to families, and protection to every unborn child. May our prayers bring hope and life.
- Amen.

Challenge: Today, pray for one mother facing uncertainty, and offer one small act of compassion as a witness to Christ. Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard
