History is on our side.
I know yesterday’s email was difficult to read. That is why I am especially grateful that we can end this 40 Days for Life vigil with hope, because something is happening. Quiet, but real.
For the first time in decades, younger generations are not continuing the decline of faith… they are interrupting it. Recent studies show that Gen Z and Millennials are among the most consistent churchgoers, with attendance rising in recent years (Barna Group; Religion News Service, 2025).
In cities like New York, churches are seeing young adults return in growing numbers, searching for truth, meaning, and something real. In a culture that has left so many restless, there is a renewed hunger for God.
Something is shifting.
History reminds us that even the greatest moral evils do not last forever. Slavery was once legal and widely accepted in the United States. At one time, it was defended and normalized, and then finally was abolished in 1865. Today, we look back and cannot comprehend how it was ever accepted.
It took time. It took courage. And it took a transformation of hearts. Slavery ended because those who knew it was evil refused to accept it as normal. They confronted it, exposed it, and made it their mission to abolish it.
We are called to do the same. If we recognize the evil of abortion, we cannot be passive. We must be willing to stand in truth, to challenge the culture, and to remain faithful until this injustice is no more.
That is what we are praying for now.
That abortion will become unthinkable.
Because culture does not change first through laws. It changes through hearts. And hearts are changed by God.
So do not lose hope.
Invest deeply in your families. Form your children not just to succeed in the world, but to know the truth, to recognize the dignity of every human life, and to have the courage to stand for it. Teach them to see life as a gift, not a burden. Teach them to love sacrificially. Teach them to recognize lies, even when they are presented as compassion or progress.
Raise a generation that will not be confused about what is good, what is true, and what is worth defending.
Live your faith boldly. Be unapologetically pro-life in the way you act and love.
And do not stand on the sidelines.
Get involved in the mission. Be part of building a culture where life is protected, honored, and celebrated. Be part of the movement that is working, day by day, to make abortion unthinkable.
I look forward to seeing you at the closing rally!
