The impact of 40 Days for Life.

As we are coming to the end of these 40 days, I have found myself reflecting on everything God has been doing, not just around us, but through us.

We are so blessed to work for Jesus!

Each morning, we gather in our chapel, read the daily readings, reflect on what God is speaking to us, and close in prayer. We take time to thank Him for our team, for our volunteers, and for you, our supporters, because everything we do is only possible through your faithfulness.

It centers us and sets the tone for everything that follows, not just inside Guiding Star, but out on the sidewalk.

Kiara, one of our interns in Las Cruces, started as a volunteer and now faithfully serves as a Her Care Connection Intern. She, along with our other interns, steps into that space with courage, praying and, through training, reaching out to women as they walk into the abortion facility.

They are stepping into what we call the trenches.

Part of what they do is pay attention and record what is happening, how many women are going in, how many accept information, any conversations they are able to have, and especially when a woman chooses to leave and keep her baby.

And today, you get to hear a glimpse of that.

Kiara records while she is out there, and what you are about to hear is real. It is not scripted. It is not polished. It is simply what it looks like to show up, pray, and stand in that space.

As you listen, remember, you are part of that moment.

Because what happens out there is not just because someone showed up that day. It is the fruit of prayer, and of every sacrifice, every act of generosity that made it possible for her to be there.

There are also moments when no words are exchanged at all. A woman sees people praying and turns away. No one speaks to her, yet something shifts. That is the power of 40 Days for Life. That is the power of your prayers, reaching her before we ever can.

Your prayers matter. Your support matters. Your sacrifices matter.

We may never fully understand the magnitude of a life being spared, but we know it is significant beyond what we can see.

As I write Day 37, I am reminded how much there is to share, and how much thought goes into these emails. More than anything, I want you to know this:

You are part of this mission.

And we are deeply grateful for you.

Please join us! We’ll have a photo booth, food, prizes, and an opportunity for fellowship.

Devotional for Day 37

Intention:
For gratitude and trust in God’s work.

Scripture:
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” 1 Corinthians 3:6

Reflection:
We each play a part, but it is God who brings the fruit. Even when we do not see the outcome, our yes matters. Nothing offered to Him is wasted.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for allowing me to be part of Your work. Help me to trust that You are working beyond what I can see.

Challenge:
Pray for that couple who choose life, that they may raise their baby up for the Lord. And pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.
