A Glimpse Into the Beautiful Ways God Works Through Us
Yesterday, we shared a glimpse of God's work on the sidewalk. Today, I'd like to take you inside Guiding Star Southwest and introduce you to Kelly, one of our wonderful sonographers.
We often talk about the precious moment a mother sees her baby on an ultrasound. But sometimes, God is doing something beautiful beyond what we can see on the screen.
Kelly's story is a wonderful reminder of that.
A Story from Kelly
One patient who has really touched my heart is a mom about halfway through her pregnancy. She visits regularly for our Hello Baby bonding ultrasounds, sometimes alone and other times with family.
I've come to believe she visits not only to see her baby, but because she feels safe, welcomed, and heard. We've talked about her family, her hopes, and the future she dreams of for herself and her little one.
During her most recent visit, she told me she was thinking about going back to school to become a sonographer. I smiled because that's exactly how my own journey began!
When I was pregnant with my twins, I developed such a special connection with my sonographer that she inspired me to pursue this career.
And here I am, years later, possibly inspiring another mother in the same way. What a beautiful full-circle moment!
Sometimes we don't realize the impact we have simply by listening, showing kindness, and making someone feel valued.
That's what makes Guiding Star so special. We're not just providing ultrasounds. We're creating a place where women feel loved, supported, and truly cared for.

Devotional for Day 36
Intention: For all those who serve expectant mothers, that their kindness and compassion may inspire hope and leave a lasting impression.
Scripture: “Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14
Reflection: We may never know how deeply a simple act of kindness can touch someone's life. Kelly's story reminds us that the love we receive can inspire the love we give, even years later. God can use the smallest moments of compassion to bring blessings far beyond what we could ever imagine.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the people You place in our lives who encourage, guide, and inspire us. Bless our sonographers and everyone who welcomes mothers into our centers. Help us recognize each encounter as an opportunity to share Your love. May the kindness we offer today bear beautiful fruit in the lives of others. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
