Lasting change does not begin in laws, but in the conversion of hearts.
Yesterday, we shared about the unity that is beginning to take shape across New Mexico. Leaders are stepping forward, choosing to come together and respond as one, and there is real hope in what the Lord is doing through that unity.
But as we move forward, we are also reminded of something deeper.
While laws and actions matter, we know that we cannot legislate a heart. True and lasting change does not begin with policies, but with transformation, and that is something only God can do.
That is why prayer remains at the center of everything we do.
We do not pray simply as a routine or a response. We pray because prayer is powerful. It invites God into places we cannot reach. It softens hearts that seem closed. It brings light into confusion, peace into fear, and truth into situations where lies have taken root.
Prayer changes things, but even more, it changes hearts.
When we stand on the sidewalk, when we fast, when we intercede, we are not just responding to what we see in front of us. We are asking God to move in ways we cannot, to touch the hearts of mothers, fathers, workers, and leaders, and to bring about a transformation that no human effort could accomplish on its own.
This is where the real battle is taking place.
And this is where real victory begins.
As we continue in these final days, let us remain faithful not only in showing up but also in trusting that every prayer matters, even the ones we never see answered in the moment.
The Lord is working.
As we approach the close of these 40 days, let us be grateful that God has called us to be a light in the world. This is not a task, but a privilege to serve Him. Let us also come together and celebrate all the blessings poured out during this campaign.

This will be a joyful and powerful time as we thank God for all He has done, celebrate the lives touched, and stand together in unity as we look ahead.

Devotional for Day 32
Scripture:
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.” Ezekiel 36:26
Reflection:
True change begins in the heart, and only God can transform it. That is why we pray. Every prayer invites God to soften hearts, bring truth, and make a way for life. Even when we cannot see it, He is working.
Prayer:
Lord, soften hearts and bring truth where it is needed most. Give new hearts and lead each person closer to You. Help us remain faithful in prayer.
Challenge: Pray for all 40 Days for Life prayer warriors and leaders. Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.
40 Days of Gift Giving
Each day, one Registered Prayer Volunteer from every vigil site will be selected to receive a small Southwest Coalition merchandise item that we already have on hand. It is a simple and joyful way for us to thank you for showing up and standing faithfully in prayer.
