Well, today's reflection is arriving a little later than usual!
I had every intention of sending it earlier, but sometimes the day gets ahead of us. And as I was thinking about what to share, I realized that perhaps there's a lesson in that, too.
God doesn't ask us to have everything perfectly planned. He asks us to remain faithful.
How often do we become frustrated with ourselves when things don't go as planned? We worry about what we didn't accomplish instead of recognizing what God is accomplishing, even through our imperfections.
Scripture reminds us:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
What a beautiful reminder that God can work through our weaknesses, our busy schedules, and even our imperfect efforts!
As we enter these final days of 40 Days for Life, perhaps this is something we all need to remember.
We don't need to be perfect prayer warriors. We simply need to be willing ones.
If you've missed a day of prayer, come back. If you've been too busy to join us on the sidewalk, there's still time. And if you're feeling tired, ask the Lord to renew your strength.
God can do extraordinary things with even the smallest offering made with love.
Thank you for continuing this journey of prayer with me. May we finish these 40 days with hearts full of faith, gratitude, and trust!
Some Reminders:
An Hour of Prayer This Sunday
This Sunday, October 25, at 2:00 PM, a march supporting abortion rights is scheduled in Las Cruces.
We invite everyone to join us in one hour of prayer at that same time, wherever you may be. Pray the Rosary, spend time before the Blessed Sacrament, or gather with your family to pray for mothers, unborn babies, and the conversion of hearts.

Our response is not confrontation, but prayer. Let us place our trust in God and ask Him to bring peace, healing, and hope to our community.

Devotional for Day 31
Intention: For those who feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or inadequate, that they may trust in God's grace rather than their own abilities.
Scripture: “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
Reflection: We often become discouraged when our plans fall apart or we feel we haven't done enough. But God doesn't ask us to be perfect. He asks us to be willing. Even our smallest efforts, when offered with love and trust, can become something extraordinary in His hands.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive us when we place more trust in our abilities than in Your grace. Help us surrender our imperfections, remain faithful, and trust that You can accomplish great things through our willing hearts. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
TODAY'S CHALLENGE: Let go of one thing that didn't go as planned today. Instead of worrying about it, offer it to God and trust Him to work through your imperfections.Intention: Intention
Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.
