Because women are complex, their care must be whole.
What Martha shared yesterday is a powerful reminder of something we don’t always say out loud.
In Josie’s story, we saw that clearly. Her decision was not simple. It came from a place of struggle, love, sacrifice, and deep interior conflict. And yet, when she was supported, when she was seen fully, she was able to choose a path that brought life, healing, and hope.
I have never met a simple woman.
Every mother, daughter, patient, and prayer warrior I know carries a full interior life — physical, emotional, spiritual — that no single clinic visit could ever contain. Women are not complicated because something is wrong with them. Women are complicated because God made them that way. And that is worth celebrating.
TRUE WOMEN'S HEALTH
When I say women's health, I mean the whole woman.
Not just a diagnosis. Not just a procedure. The mental, physical, and spiritual reality of what it means to live in a body God designed with intention and care. That's a harder conversation than most clinics are willing to have. It requires someone willing to sit with a woman in the full complexity of her experience — her fears, her questions, her body — and say: there is nothing wrong with you. You were made this way on purpose.
The facility down the road offers a narrow answer to a complicated situation. We are building something much wider.
INTRO TO WOMANHOOD
One of the ways we do that is through Intro to Womanhood — a program designed for mothers and daughters to come together and learn about how God created their bodies.
This is not a clinical pamphlet. This is a sacred conversation — the kind that used to happen at kitchen tables and hasn't always made it to the next generation. We give mothers the tools, the language, and the confidence to have that conversation with their daughters in a space that is warm, honest, and rooted in truth: their bodies are not broken. They are not a problem to be managed. They are a gift to be understood.
Girls who learn this — from their mothers, in faith, without shame — grow into women who can make clear-eyed decisions about their health, their relationships, and their lives.
That is the alternative we are building. One conversation at a time.
WHY THIS MATTERS RIGHT NOW
We are on Day 29. Twenty-nine days of prayer and presence outside that facility. And every day I am reminded: we are not standing there because we are against something. We are standing there because we are for something much greater.
We are for the woman who has been told her body is a problem.
We are for the teenage girl who has never had this conversation with her mother.
We are for the mother who wants something better for her daughter than what the world is offering.
Pray that God hears our prayers and opens the door for Guiding Star Whole Women’s Healthcare Centers to grow, not just here, but across the nation.
A Guiding Star center exists to care for the whole woman. Not just a moment, not just a diagnosis, not just a procedure. It is care that honors her body, supports her in every stage of life, and walks with her physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
This is exactly why leaders like Senator David Gallegos are advocating so strongly. If that building is completed, it should not be used to end life, but to serve women in the way they truly deserve, through real, whole, life-affirming healthcare.
What we are praying for is not just that something stops.
We are praying that something better rises in its place.
Gratefully in Christ,

Devotional for Day 29
Intention:
For every woman to recognize her dignity, beauty, and purpose as she was created by God.
Scripture:
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Psalm 139:14
Reflection:
God did not create women as a problem to fix, but as a masterpiece with purpose. Every part of who a woman is was made with intention. The world may try to simplify or distort that truth, but God sees her as whole, known, and deeply valued.
Prayer:
Lord, help us to see women the way You see them. Restore what the world has distorted and remind every woman of her worth. Give us the grace to protect, honor, and serve the dignity You have placed within them. Amen.
Challenge:
Today, affirm the dignity of a woman in your life. Speak truth over her, remind her she is valued, and take a moment to thank God for the way He created her. Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.
40 Days of Gift Giving
Each day, one Registered Prayer Volunteer from every vigil site will be selected to receive a small Southwest Coalition merchandise item that we already have on hand. It is a simple and joyful way for us to thank you for showing up and standing faithfully in prayer.
