Over the past few days, I've received some of the most beautiful messages from people sharing how these daily reflections have spoken to their hearts and brought them peace. Some have told me that God is reminding them to worry less, pray more, and trust Him with the things they cannot control.
I want to thank each of you who has taken the time to write. Your messages have encouraged me more than you know!
The truth is, these are lessons the Lord has been teaching me in my own prayer time. I'm simply sharing what He is placing on my heart, and it is such a blessing to know that He is using these reflections to speak to others as well.
Something else happened recently that gave me another beautiful reminder of just how extraordinary God's work is.
As I called to thank the many wonderful supporters whose generosity helped us come so close to reaching our El Paso Giving Day goal, I noticed something I hadn't fully appreciated before.
So many of the people supporting our ministries don't even live in Texas or New Mexico!
I had the pleasure of speaking with a lovely woman named Alice in Massachusetts who moved away from our region ten years ago. Yet years later, she still supports Southwest Coalition because she believes in what God is doing here.
That conversation made me smile, and it also made me think.
God isn't limited by cities, states, or distance.
His work may be happening here in our Borderland, but the hearts He is touching are scattered across the country. Some of our supporters may never walk through Guiding Star's doors, visit The Lily Pad, or stand with us on the sidewalks. Yet through their prayers, generosity, and faithfulness, they are part of every life touched, and every mother helped.
Isn't that beautiful?
It reminded me of St. Paul's words:
“So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who causes the growth.” — 1 Corinthians 3:7
Some of us plant. Others water. Some pray from a sidewalk, while others pray from a living room hundreds or even thousands of miles away.
But it is God who brings the growth.
And perhaps that's another lesson He has been teaching me lately. We don't have to see everything He's doing, understand how it will happen, or worry about whether we are doing enough. We simply need to remain faithful to the part He has entrusted to us.
And speaking of how God works beyond borders, Pastor Steve, from Redeeming Grace Church, believes so deeply in what God is doing through Southwest Coalition that he invited us to record an entire week of talks to share about our ministries, the lives being saved, the mothers being helped, and the incredible plans He is making possible! Thanks, Pastor, for a week of powerful prayer! May God bless you as you spread His word across the world. Click the Picture to hear for yourself!
These talks will reach his listeners around the world, reminding me once again of Catherine in France and Alice in Massachusetts, whom I recently spoke with.
God keeps showing me that His plans are so much bigger than anything I could ever imagine. Distance means nothing to Him, and when we trust Him, He opens doors we never even knew existed!
I hope you'll take some time to listen and share these talks with others so they, too, can see what God is doing here in our Borderland!
To everyone who prays with us, supports our ministries, shares these reflections, or simply remembers us in their prayers, whether you're here in the Borderland or across the country, thank you for being part of what God is doing through Southwest Coalition!
And to those who have written to tell me these reflections have brought you peace, please know that your words have been a blessing to me, too.
May we continue learning together to worry less, trust more, and allow God to do what only He can do.
BOOTS, BABIES & BIG DREAMS!
Speaking of God's blessings, I hope you'll join us for our upcoming Southwest Coalition Gala! We'll be celebrating the beautiful lives touched through our ministries, sharing our dreams for the future, and enjoying a wonderful evening together.
December 2 | Las Cruces Convention Center
December 3 | El Paso Starlight Event Center
Our special guest speaker is Riley Gaines, and this year we're adding something new: a Western dance following the program!
And to our wonderful supporters joining us from outside Texas and New Mexico, we'd love to welcome you back for this special celebration!
Come for the mission, stay for the celebration!

For Life. For Love. For Both.

Devotional for Day 28
Intention: For all who support the mission of life through prayer, generosity, and faithfulness, especially those praying alongside us from afar.
Scripture: “So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who causes the growth.” — 1 Corinthians 3:7
Reflection: God's work is not limited by geography or distance. Some of us serve on the sidewalks, others give generously, and many pray faithfully from hundreds of miles away. Each has a part in His beautiful plan. We may never see the full impact of our prayers or sacrifices, but God does. Our calling is to remain faithful and trust Him to bring the growth..
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for uniting hearts across cities, states, and even nations in Your mission of love. Bless every person who prays, gives, and serves, especially those whose sacrifices are known only to You. Help us remain faithful to the work You have entrusted to us, trusting that You will bring forth fruit in Your perfect time. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Challenge: Challenge. Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.
