Put on the Armor of God.

We are now just a few hours away from gathering for the March for Life in Las Cruces.

Today is not just another event. Today is a moment that will be remembered. With God’s grace, we have the opportunity to mark this moment in the history of our city.

We believe that God can turn what the enemy intended for harm into good.

As we gather today, I want to encourage each of you to come prepared spiritually.

Scripture tells us to put on the armor of God.

That means putting on the belt of truth, standing firmly in what is right. It means wearing the breastplate of righteousness, guarding our hearts and intentions. It means stepping forward with the readiness of the Gospel of peace, bringing calm and prayer, not anger.

Carry the shield of faith to stand against discouragement. Wear the helmet of salvation, remembering who we belong to. And most importantly, carry the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

So remember, our greatest weapon today is prayer.

As we march, let us remain focused. Let us not be distracted by conversations or arguments along the way. We are not simply gathering to walk down a street. We are gathering to pray, to witness, and to stand in the authority of God’s Word.

Pray for those who live in darkness. Ask the Lord to open the eyes of their hearts and reveal His truth and His mercy.

“The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

As Father Thomas used to say, we will execute Scripture. When we repeat the Word of God in prayer, it is like cutting away at sin.

So as we march, let us repeat the Word of God together and allow it to do its work.

I look forward to seeing you today!

Gratefully in Christ,

Devotional for Day 25

Intention:
To march peacefully and prayerfully, to be a light in the darkness.

Scripture:
“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.”
Ephesians 6:10

Reflection:
Today is not just about showing up. It is about standing together in faith. When believers gather with courage and prayer, something powerful happens. God uses ordinary people who are willing to step forward and witness to the truth. Our role is simply to be faithful. The Lord will do the rest.

Prayer:
Lord, guide every step we take today. Fill our hearts with peace, courage, and love. Protect our community and allow Your truth to be spoken through our witness. May everything we do today honor You. Amen.

Challenge:
Before arriving at the rally, take one minute to pray quietly for the person walking next to you. Ask God to strengthen their faith and bless their efforts today. Then Pray Psalm 51 or Dr. Theard.
