A reflection from the vigil and an update from the site.

I would like you to hear from Clarissa Canizales, the coordinator for the Pink House vigil. She would like to share a little about her experience as a vigil coordinator in Las Cruces.

“The first week was exciting. People came to pray during every hour of the vigil. For the first time, I was finally able to meet many of the people I had only spoken with over the phone. Our vigil was no longer just something we had planned. It had become real.

That first week, I could see the joy on people’s faces as they came to pray for the unborn and for their mothers.

As the weeks passed, people continued to come, no matter the effort it took. Women and men, elderly people who had difficulty walking, people carrying physical pain, and mothers holding their small babies.

They came even when the weather was cold and the wind was strong.

Everyone who had been touched by God and had responded to His call showed up on the sidewalk.

Quietly, they stood there and prayed.

Watching them, I saw how each person’s commitment strengthens our community.

It reminded me that when people respond to God’s call, even in small ways, something powerful begins to grow.

Thank you to each of you for the effort you made and for your faithful support of the 40 Days for Life campaign. May God fill your hearts with love, joy, and peace.” - Clarissa Canizales

Now I’d like you to hear directly from Blanca Savusa, who works in our Outreach Department.

Blanca recently visited the site and recorded a short video update to share what is happening on the ground in Las Cruces.

Take a moment to watch her update from the site below.

Devotional for Day 23

Intention:
For faithfulness in the small acts of prayer and witness that God uses to change hearts.

Scripture:
“Whoever is faithful in very little is faithful also in much.” Luke 16:10

Reflection:
What happens on the sidewalk can seem small. A quiet prayer. One person standing in witness. Yet God often works through these simple acts of faithfulness. What may seem small to us can become something powerful in His hands.

Prayer:
Lord, help us to be faithful in the small things You place before us. Teach us to trust that every prayer and every act of courage matters in Your plan. Strengthen our hearts to remain steady in hope and love. Amen.

Challenge:
Take one minute today to pray for the rally this Saturday. Ask God to bring the right people, protect the gathering, and let truth and peace guide every moment. Then Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.

40 Days of Gift Giving

Each day, one Registered Prayer Volunteer from every vigil site will be selected to receive a small Southwest Coalition merchandise item that we already have on hand. It is a simple and joyful way for us to thank you for showing up and standing faithfully in prayer.
