Clay in His hands, vessels of His mercy.
As we continue through these days of prayer and witness, I want to encourage you to persevere. Your faithful presence matters more than you may realize.
Scripture reminds us that no life is an accident, no person is forgotten, and no one is a mistake in God’s creation.
The Lord speaks through the prophet Jeremiah with an image that is both simple and profound:
“Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in My hand.”
Jeremiah 18:6
God is the potter, and we are the clay. He shapes each of us with intention, forming vessels meant to carry His love, mercy, and truth.
During these 40 Days for Life, this calling becomes especially clear. God works through His prayer warriors, not through loud voices or worldly strength, but through faithful presence, quiet sacrifice, and steadfast prayer.
Testimonies shared by 40 Days for Life from former clinic workers show that peaceful prayer outside abortion clinics has led many women to cancel appointments. These stories remind us that no hour of prayer is ever wasted.
For our friends in El Paso, we again invite you to stand with our sister city, Las Cruces.
The $10 million abortion facility being built on Lohman Avenue will impact not only Las Cruces but Texas families as well.
Data collected by our sidewalk interns in Santa Teresa and Las Cruces shows that 7 out of 10 cars arriving at abortion facilities have Texas license plates.
This is why what is happening in Las Cruces matters deeply to our region. Abortion is not simply a state issue. It is a moral evil, and Texas must stand with New Mexico to defend life.
As we mentioned earlier this week, one practical way our community can respond is by sending letters to companies supplying materials to the construction site.
Each packet contains 44 letters addressed to suppliers, asking them not to provide materials for the construction.
The letters are included in this email if you would like to print and mail them from home, or you can pick up prepared packets in Las Cruces or El Paso. We will also have the packets available at the Rally.
Postage is 66 cents per letter, so sending all 44 costs about $29.
If you would like to pick up a packet or have questions, please text us at 915-455-1344.
