Because Silence Is Not an Option.
Thank you for faithfully following these updates. As construction continues on the UNM facility we have been tracking, we are ready to take the next step.
Now that we have gathered additional information, we are prepared to move forward. We know the impact of writing letters to business owners because, by God’s grace, our efforts previously helped delay the build. Once again, we will pray and ask God to bless our efforts.
We continue to thoughtfully compile and verify the list of businesses involved at the construction site, adding names as we confirm them.
As we have done in the past, complete letter packets will be ready for you this Friday, at the Las Cruces Guiding Star office, 2908 Hillrise Dr., from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
If you prefer to print your own copies, the finalized letters will be attached to Friday’s email, or sooner, for you to download, sign, and mail.
We are grateful for your willingness to stand with us.
The March for Life in Las Cruces will take place on Saturday, March 14.
10:00 a.m. – Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S Espina Street
11:30 a.m. – Rally begins at the build site, 4391 Lohman Street (Rio Grande Hematology & Oncology parking lot)
We will march along Lohman and conclude between 12:45 and 1:15 p.m., with police escorts.
A full rally is crucial. The citizens of Las Cruces need to see that this community cares about the rights of the unborn. Presence matters. Numbers matter. Visibility matters.
Invite your family.
Invite your friends.
Invite your church.
There will be a contest for the best decorated stroller and the best signage. Be creative. Let the beauty of life be visible.
Food will be available following the rally, generously donated by supporters.
We are honored to welcome Senator David Gallegos and Makayla De Jong, our Certified Nurse Midwife, as our speakers.
We are not passive. We are persistent.
Now is the time.
We will stand peacefully.
We will stand together.
Gratefully in Christ,

Devotional for Day 14
Intention:
For steadfast courage and unity as we take visible action.
Scripture:
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” — 1 Corinthians 15:58
Reflection:
There are seasons when faith is quiet and unseen. There are other seasons when faith must be visible. Scripture calls us to be steadfast and immovable, not shaken by opposition or discouraged by delay. The work of defending life can feel slow, but God assures us that no faithful labor is wasted. When we act with courage and prayer, we participate in something larger than ourselves. Our responsibility is not to control outcomes. It is to remain faithful.
Prayer:
Lord, make me steadfast. Keep my heart anchored in truth and my spirit rooted in love. Let my actions reflect conviction without anger and perseverance without fear. Strengthen our community as we stand together. Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.
Challenge:
Sign at least one letter this week and personally invite three people to attend the March for Life. Pray daily for those involved in the construction and for the conversion of hearts.
40 Days of Gift Giving
Each day, one Registered Prayer Volunteer from every vigil site will be selected to receive a small Southwest Coalition merchandise item that we already have on hand. It is a simple and joyful way for us to thank you for showing up and standing faithfully in prayer.
