What you need to know.

Today, I want to begin by addressing something important.

There are times when we receive information that requires careful verification before we communicate it more broadly. Because our work is closely watched by those who oppose our mission, we take extra care to ensure that what we share is accurate, responsible, and rooted in truth. If updates feel measured at times, it is not because we are unaware or disengaged. It is because integrity matters, and truth must never be rushed.

It is important to recognize that we do not stand alone.

I want to express sincere gratitude to Project Defending Life, New Mexico Alliance for Life, the Knights of Columbus of Saint Ann’s in Santa Fe, a state senator, state representatives, and especially Randy McMillian, who played a significant role in stalling the proposed build. Leadership like that matters. Courage like that matters.

While each organization and individual may serve in different ways, we are united by a shared conviction to defend the most vulnerable among us. The protection of life is not carried by one group alone. It advances when people of principle step forward, sometimes quietly and sometimes publicly, and refuse to yield.

New Mexico is resilient. Our people are stronger than political pressure, stronger than cultural narratives, and stronger than the assumption that nothing can change here. When men and women of faith and conviction stand shoulder to shoulder, even across different roles and responsibilities, something steady and powerful begins to take root.

Right now, we are actively preparing the next steps.

Letter writing will begin shortly. We are mobilizing for the March for Life here in Las Cruces and finalizing plans for a major prayer rally that will unite believers across our region in a bold public witness. Details are coming very soon. Momentum is building, and I want you ready. Las Cruces is stronger than many believe, and together we are going to demonstrate that strength clearly and confidently.

Gratefully in Christ,

Devotional for Day 12

Intention:
For wisdom, patience, and courage as we prepare to act.

Scripture:
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” — Proverbs 21:5

Reflection:
Before God moves His people forward, He often prepares their hearts. Scripture reminds us that diligence matters and that rushing ahead without wisdom can weaken what could have been strong. Acting with care is not hesitation. It is stewardship. When we pause to verify, to pray, and to seek clarity, we are not retreating. We are strengthening the foundation. The work of defending life requires both urgency and discernment. Faithfulness means moving when God says to move and preparing when He says to prepare.

Prayer:
Lord, grant me patience when I want immediate results. Give me wisdom to move with clarity and not impulse. Strengthen my trust in Your timing and refine my heart as You prepare us for what comes next.

Challenge: Make a list of the people you're going to invite to the March for Life. Pray Psalm 51 for Dr. Theard.
