What an incredible weekend!

On behalf of Southwest Coalition for Life, thank you to everyone who joined us at our Community Prayer Rally for Life, whether you stood with us in person or participated remotely in prayer.

More than 120 believers gathered in unity, sending a powerful message that New Mexico is pro-life. Christians from many denominations came together, and we were blessed to have pastors and priests leading us in prayer as we sought God's mercy and protection over our state.

The sanctity of human life is not a partisan issue or one that belongs to a single denomination—it is a matter of human dignity. It was beautiful to witness the Body of Christ standing together with one voice.

People traveled from Juárez, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Carlsbad, Hatch, Gallup, El Paso, and throughout southern New Mexico to be with us. Some began their journey as early as 3:00 AM just to arrive in time for prayer. That kind of sacrifice is a testimony to the faith, courage, and commitment of God's people.

As I looked across the crowd, it truly brought tears to my eyes. Seeing so many fearless prayer warriors gathered together reminded me that God is raising up His people for such a time as this.

This is only the beginning.

On Friday, September 12, we will unite churches and communities across New Mexico for our Statewide Day of Prayer to Stop the Abortion Center.

Prayer rallies are currently being organized across the state, covering approximately 121,590 square miles covered in prayer as believers intercede for:

  • Women facing unexpected pregnancies

  • Families and fathers

  • Medical professionals

  • Our legislators and elected officials

  • Hearts to be changed

  • The protection of every unborn child

  • The future of New Mexico

We hope you will begin inviting your church, family, and friends to participate as we fill our state with prayer and ask God to move in a mighty way.

We also have updated packets available that include information on the two newly added contractors working on the abortion center project.

Please download the new packet (Google Doc | Word | PDF) and mail what you can this week or call the businesses. It now includes:

1. Petition letters to every remaining confirmed company still actively engaged in the project — including Chaparral Materials and Southwest JCB.

2. Thank-you letters to the companies that have already walked away after learning what they were really helping to build, for standing publicly with the pro-life community.

Remember, if you are willing to help investigate, please consider making polite inquiries regarding either company and whether they are connected to the Las Cruces facility project.

If you make contact, receive a response, or learn anything helpful, please let me know so I can update our records and share verified information with the group.

You can reach me directly by replying to this email or by calling/texting me at (915) 455-1344.

As we have learned throughout this effort, some of our most valuable discoveries have come from respectful conversations and supporters willing to help uncover the truth.

Thank You

Thank you again for your faithful prayers, your courage, and your unwavering commitment to defending life. Together, we are building a movement rooted in faith, united in prayer, and committed to protecting every human life.

May God continue to bless you and your family.

Standing with you for life,

Jessica Sifuentes
President & CEO
Southwest Coalition

P.S. — If you have a personal connection to anyone involved with these companies, never underestimate the power of a respectful conversation. One phone call from a friend, fellow parishioner, church member, neighbor, or trusted acquaintance can accomplish more than hundreds of letters.
